Is it really a point in collecting physical media even after with the next generation consoles the physical data discs may be rendered useless?

Obviously, I’ve been into collecting, and I have a substantial collection of Xbox 360 games, but also when it comes to the next-generation console, it’s like the Xbox One series X and the PlayStation Five; they’re basically a brick without a Wi-Fi connection. So then, even if you do manage to get it to the point where you’ve had the console for years. Some physical media is not on the desk anymore. I guess the only one that you could say you could completely use offline is a Nintendo Switch.
