i finally checked my 5/30 score after almost a week, curious abt the curve

i am avoidant and scared of checking things but when i checked my mcat score for the 5/30 date a week later, i got a 512!! i was so worried bc i felt like it was even harder than my original mcat which i got a 503 on. that chem section was the hardest chem section ive ever taken but i still got above any other score ive ever gotten on a practice chem section so im wondering how do the curves for the mcat work? does it really boost ur score that much?
