Should I FaceTime my toddler on my first trip away without him?

My husband and I will be away two nights and I am so stressed about it. He will be with my mom who he ADORES, and honestly I don’t even know if he realizes I’m gone when he’s with her. I expect night time to be rough though, and at some point he might realize it’s been especially long since he’s seen me. I’m wondering in your experience if FaceTiming your toddler comforted them and gave them a little boost, or if it made separation anxiety worse. I’ll definitely want to see him, but I don’t want to make it harder than it needs to be on him either. Thanks!
