Transportation from egg retrieval

Had my first consult with the doctor today, and she mentioned that I wouldn't be able to take an Uber home from the egg retrieval procedure. Makes perfect sense, but I'm single and have very few friends in my city and even fewer who don't work during the day.

I could fly my mom or dad in and I'm sure they'd be happy to do it with enough notice, but that seems crazy. And I know I could ask my ex-partner and I'm honestly sure he'd say yes, but he's the reason I'm doing this in the first place (or because he broke up with me) that I'm sitting here crying just thinking about asking him.

What did you do if you were in a similar situation? I'm probably getting a couple months ahead of myself here and I know I could ask the clinic when the time comes but I'm just trying to figure out options.
