I’m on sick currently due to return this week but really want another week off. :(

I work nightshifts and recently had my gallbladder removed. I’ve had 3 weeks off, sick paid. I work in a warehouse and it sucks there but it pays good.

I work nightshift purely because I need the extra nightshift rate. Getting to spend this time with my 2 year old and 9 year old has been the best, literally the best. It’s been so nice not to be hanging out of my ass all day, too tired to do anything. My 9 year old has been so different since I’ve been off, comes out of his room and wants to engage. Spend yesterday running after him in a field and he was laughing so much he was crying.

Really debated about asking to have it extended for another week but then I feel like a bad person or something, even tho let’s be honest my workplace doesn’t give a shit about me. Just one more week to enjoy feeling normal :(
