Harry chooses not to be the “chosen one”

So much of the things that infuriate me is that Harry is literally a child, and all the adults just push shit onto him and he just takes it. He doesn’t fight back, doesn’t ever say how stupid, irresponsible and manipulative it is to try and get a teenager to go against an enemy he knows nothing about.

He just goes with whatever they say, never fact checks anything.

I want fics where he just says fuck off. Either because he is now on voldies side or just wants no part in the war, he doesn’t owe the wizarding world anything. Not his circus, not his monkeys.

Shows how people in Britain respond to him leaving/ Dumbledore trying to get him back and how everyone just was willing to sit back so he’d do everything and once he left they weren’t sure what to do.
