Question about 1919 Naturalization Act

Canada

I have a record of my great-grandfather taking the “Oath of Allegiance” in 1920 and my grandmother being listed as a minor child.

Would I have a claim given the new laws? In 1947 Canada made the separation but he was dead by then. My grandmother had moved back to the US.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
