Maine 2026 Senate race: The daily revelations about Platner dishearten me. It's too much. I hope if they can, Democrats consider Troy Jackson as a guy that has legislative experience, progressive credentials and appeal, and little serious skeletons, that can beat Collins.
I want to believe in Platner and the campaign he's running. And he truly inspired voters way more than geriatric Mills.
But it pains me to see daily news of very serious stuff he has done in his personal life. And today's allegations are too much, especially when it includes harming others.
I hope there is a chance to change the candidate to someone without his skeletons but can still inspire progressives.
Troy Jackson is a good choice. Senate President, logger, and like Platner is supported by Bernie Sanders.
He had a good showing in the gubernatorial primaries in 3rd place, but I believe he's a good choice to beat Collins.
For Troy, his issues is health for he's had issues with his heart. But I don't hear the constant concerns of him compared to Platner.
Maine Democrats, if a move must be done, please consider Jackson.
