Do people feel the same about dire avengers?

I'm new ish to the game and I'm just wondering does anyone else have an unending slightly irrational burning hatred for dire avengers? I personally don't like them in any regard. As one of the first models I built I hated building them. As models themselves they seem very un-interesting and boring. In lore when u have aspect warriors who are acrobatic duelists who can remove your head from your body in half the time it takes to blink and guys who go through hell to fire razor sharp nets directly into the face of some conscript I just find them extremely out of place. In the game they seem to heavily underperform. Can someone explain to me how in one of my first games I put 40+ shots into a unit of like 20 guardsmen and only ended up killing like 3 of them? Maybe I personally just get unlucky while using them or maybe those 5 head idiots are a curse upon me who make my 3s turn to 2s just by the indirect contact of my dice tray

Idk I just wanted to rant about how much I don't like dire avengers I would love to see people try and change my mind about them though
