For parents of Class 9 students — what actually helped when your child struggled with math?

My nephew is heading into Class 9 CBSE next year and already showing gaps in algebra and geometry. I've been trying to understand what actually works.

For those who've been through it — when your child hit a wall in Class 9 math, what did you try? Tutor, app, YouTube, coaching center? What worked, what didn't?

Also curious — did you ever feel like you knew exactly where the gap was, or was it always a bit unclear what the root problem was?

Not selling anything, genuinely trying to understand if I can support my nephew in some way.
