thoughts on sittercity?

hello all! I've been doing some minor babysitting work in my area but I really want more. I'm trying to find more ways to reach out to families, and sittercity seems like a good one. I can only find reddit discussions about it from three years ago, though, and everything from then paints the site as evil; taking down accounts randomly, lying about being free, etc..

Is this all still true information about the site? do any of you have experience with it that's current? thanks!
