Android / WearOS feedback / issues
I've been using the Android and WearOS apps for a little while now and I have some feedback and some bugs/issues to report. If there's any data I can provide from the app to help you with this I'd be happy to provide it.
I'm always using the app on my phone and watch at the same time, so some of these issue might be different if running it on either of devices without the other one.
These issues occur whether or not the app is in the foreground / backgrund / screen off or screen on.
- There's no notification sound. I've tried using the system notification sound and I've tried changing to the other available sounds. The sounds play in the settings when choosing, but other than that there's no sound ever.
- There's a vibration on the watch when the "rest over" notification comes up, but it's very subtle. Other apps I've used have much stronger vibration.
- The vibration comes only when there's a new notification. If I don't swipe away the notification, then on the next "rest time over" I won't get any vibration. I.e. I need to swipe away the "rest time over" every time.
Then some general feedback on the WearOS app: I don't need the full phone app experience on the watch where I have to scroll up/down manually to go to the next set. The only thing I'd like to have on the display is the current set, with a button to mark it done, and an easy way to increase/decrease reps and weight. When the rest timer is running I only need the timer, and non-interactive info on what my next set is. Ofc, there's some need to jump forward/back between reps etc, but the main focus should be on the set I'm currently on or on the rest timer.
