Tesla Sentry Mode Battery Drain
We have been using Sentry all the time since we picked up a 2026 Model 3 RWD a few weeks ago. Since we don't drive much, we weren't too worried about having no home charger. However, we found that Sentry Mode has been eating up battery more than anticipated.
We've driven 500 km so far, and we've been to Superchargers four times already (charged to 95-100% each time). We're wondering if we should disable Sentry for longer battery life, but the Sentry (and Pet mode) is one of the reasons we bought a Tesla. Are you enabling it all the time, sometimes, or never?
We are having a hard time quite monitoring our car, especially after we saw clips of the first two nights after picking up our brand new car:
First night: A teenager was playing basketball in front of our car.
Second night: While the parkade was half-empty, a pickup truck decided to park next to our car. Then, the driver started unloading some equipment from our side (although the other side of the truck was empty).
Your thoughts and suggestions are appreciated.
