Please help me with suggestions.

Hi everyone!

I am willing to put some plants in pots at my front door. My house is south facing, hence the front door gets morning sunlight.

Please suggest some plants which are annuals and easy to maintain. I am in North Carolina.

I happen to overwater and my plants die :(
