Am I Overreacting? (Aka Reality Check Requested)

During contract negotiations I thought everything was good. I did a trial for 2 weeks just to be certain and since then things haven’t been good. I was clear about my expectations but MB kept saying “no, we just have some miscommunications”. Again, I’ve been clarifying my expectations I made sure to be clear about NOT cleaning after the parents. I decided maybe we can make this work as we went back and talked about my contract concerns. MB said she will do better and follow my contract better.

My contract says I start at 7:30am but MB told me to come at 8:30am. I don’t think anything of it since it was the first day. The whole first week was the same time, 8:30. On my last day of the week I asked MB about my start time and she informed me that the contract I signed wasn’t really for me it was for her last nanny and she need to change most of the things on it. Like WTF we spoke multiple times! I should’ve walked out right then and there but I didn’t because I wanted a job.

Every week since it’s something new that annoys me or some way she happens to find a miscommunication and change things. But today I’m at a loss for words. I came in today to find a poop filled kitchen sink. Poop diapers and clothes that have been through a blowout. Along with the poop in the kitchen sink were dishes and a wood chopping block 🤢🤮. I asked MB about it and her response was “I’ll stop leaving poopy diapers in the sink when you start doing the dishes”. My jaw hit the floor! I chop vegetables for your child on the chopping block! It’s wood so it’s porous it will hold the poop in the grooves of the wood. She’s trying to manipulate me into doing her dishes. I’m officially at my wits end.

I feel like she’s going to ruin my reputation over this but I don’t think I can stay here anymore. I really tried to make things work with her but she clearly doesn’t want to make it work with me. I’m worried my 15yrs of experience will go down the drain all because she seems like the type to bash me to everyone she knows. How can I quit nicely without her causing me drama.
