My Favorite Cozy Blanket Story

I own a bunch of blankets, but there's one I always end up reaching for.

It's not the newest, the softest, or the most expensive one. Honestly it doesn't even look that great anymore.

A few years ago I almost threw it out because it was getting a little worn. Instead I tossed it in the closet.

Then one cold night the heat wasn't working right, so I grabbed it without thinking.

The second I wrapped up in it, I remembered why I'd kept it. It was the blanket I'd used through late-night movies, lazy Sunday naps, sick days, and way too many rainy afternoons. Somehow it just felt... familiar.

Now it lives on the end of my bed, and I probably use it more than any of the fancy throws I've bought since.

It's funny how certain things become comforting for reasons that have nothing to do with how they look. Sometimes it's just the memories attached to them.

My family laughs because I'll choose that old blanket over the nice new ones every single time.

Anybody else have one beat-up blanket they refuse to get rid of, even though it's definitely seen better days?
