I've had a difficult time attempting to make a tulpa over the past few years and I'm looking for input on what to do.
I'm gonna say ahead of time I don't use Reddit because I'm shy so I apologize if there's any obvious posting etiquette i'm not familiar with and miss here. I dragged out this abandoned account I haven't touched in years for this because I really want others thoughts on this.
I first discovered Tulpas in early 2022 and tried to undergo the process of making one, and that's pretty much where it stands to this day. To give a really quick run-over of that, I actively tried from December 2022 into July 2023 then gave up for a while outside of strange sparks of motivation every few months or so. Recently I decided recently that this is something I want to do but I wanted to reflect for a bit and figure out what I did wrong.
I've spent a lot of time thinking about it and I think there are a few major problems that have prevented development. The big one is the constant changing of tulpa form and name. I tried to work on this before but still had a lot of trouble doing so. I found out later I have ADHD so that is probably a factor in this although I know its very possible to develop a tulpa if you have ADHD. Speaking of, the second big problem I've had is it is hard for me to focus and that makes it hard for me to stay on one thought for long, so I could only really get maybe two minutes at a time. I know anything will contribute to tulpa creation, but after trying that daily for a long time I think there's some other problem I'm failing to recognize. Additionally I've tried passive forcing but the big problem is I forget very quickly and just get lost in whatever I'm doing.
I know a lot of this is probably mental blocks, but I've tried getting over that and still, nothing.
So yeah. I'm really hoping someone will have some sort of input here and I'm missing something because I've read or listened to at least a dozen tulpa creation guides and I'm not sure what I'm missing at this point, as I haven't been able to find anything online that's helped either. Any input at all would be greatly appreciated.
