First art fight

Can i attack without having characters or would that be considered cheating?

I've never heard of artfight until last year and was very eager to join this year that I even pre-joined a team, but my art usually revolves around getting inspired by real-life people or pintrest refrences and drawing them in my style...

I'm not really into OC creating..? I don't think I have that vividly wide imagination to create stories and backgrounds for a character knowing I won't ever draw them again lol

Maybe this event isn't the right thing for me?

Should I just spectate? (How does it differ from having an account and not participating anyway?)
