Ranged Dodge rule help??

Total noob here, might be a dumb question but I can't figure this out for the life of me. Might have missed something in the book. DM is new as well, we're all learning this together.

I have a character that is able to dodge ranged attacks, and relevant stats are as follows:

Dex 6, evasion base 12

I know RAW states defenders dex + evasion skill +1d10

Do I use my dex + evasion base OR dex + evasion level (so just Base evasion?)

Help!!
