New Shortcut to Report Bugs Properly + 30 Sec Video
A week back, I shared a method to help report bugs by capturing a snapshot of the page Unfortunately, the method didn’t work as the new version of Reddit is a complicated single page application (SPA) and the method only captures the initial HTML of the page (great for old and old-new reddit), not what the code actually changes (like actually showing you the feed, adding banners, ads, locking scrolling etc).
In future, when you're reporting a bug, I'd greatly appreciate it if you could spare 30 seconds and use this new method: I created a small shortcut to save the page properly: https://www.icloud.com/shortcuts/31436045ce004d48aa29d76efa75c4ec
I've also recorded a 30 second video (https://www.youtube.com/shorts/Icxlfhzl73E) which shows you the 2 tap process to save the actual code. It saves the file to your iCloud which you can email me, just like the .webarchive file earlier. Email is in the app.
If you're feeling paranoid about the shortcut, very understandably so, you can just tap into the shortcut to see what it's doing. The initial few seconds of the video also show the 1 line of code that it runs.
