looking for a fic

so I read aftg for the first time in 2022, then read a Lot of fanfic. one of which was a fic about Neils time in the nest and instead of telling no one, he told Aaron he was going and why, and he called Aaron throughout the trip to talk to him and keep him sane and such. I don't remember much else but I remember it was good and that I genuinely thought that was a cannon thing that happened until I reread the whole series last summer. since then I've been searching to no avail.

does anyone know what I'm talking about???? i know it was on ao3 but almost nothing else 😭
