Looking for group online/offline other

I bought the Vulcan character sourcebook for the Star Trek the next generation last unicorn roleplaying game and was fascinated. I found the core rulebook and player handbook on eBay but haven’t bought them yet. Is there a group willing to take on a massive TNG fan who has never played a tabletop before? I’m in the Turlock/Modesto area of California’s Central Valley. I could also play on,one but I’m not sure how that works.
