cat tree for scottish fold ?

hi i have a question :)) im not sure what cat tree to get for my two scottish kittens. ive heard somewhere that i shouldn't opt for a high cat tree due to their joint problems - is that true? should i not get any trees that have several "floors"? or would a small tree with a few levels to jump up to be fine ?
