Recent grad starting at a mid-size accountancy firm, any first-year advice?

Starting my first job out of uni soon, joining a mid-size accountancy firm.

For those a few years into similar roles: what actually helped you get ahead early on? And what do you wish you’d done differently in year one?

Especially interested in how you built relationships with senior people, whether you had to chase visibility/exposure or it just came naturally, and any mistakes you’d warn a new grad about.
