Back on T after 9 Years
Today I just got my first T shot after having been off for 9 years. I really struggled the first time I transitioned after leaving the Navy and dealing with mental health issues. I was on T for 2 years before I became overwhelmed and doubted my identity.
Now that I have been in therapy consistently for about 2 years, I am finally doing better about accepting who I am as a person. I wish it hadn't taken so long for me to pursue transitioning again, but I am thankful I have access to hrt. In August, I have my first appointment with a surgeon to discuss top surgery.
My family is against me transitioning again and I only have a few people to share my good news with, so I wanted to share here. I really appreciate the encouragement that I see on this sub.
