Is an M.Tech in VLSI from NIT Delhi worth it? Seeking advice on curriculum and career prospects.

Hi everyone,

I’ve been offered a seat for the M.Tech in VLSI program at NIT Delhi, and I’m currently trying to evaluate if this is the right move for my career. I’d really appreciate some honest insights from alumni or current students regarding the program’s quality and industry standing.

I’m particularly interested in:

  • Curriculum & Facilities: How do you find the course structure and the lab infrastructure? Is the exposure to industry-standard tools sufficient for someone looking to build a career in the semiconductor/core domain?
  • Placement Performance: How has the placement scenario been for the M.Tech VLSI batch recently? Are there consistent opportunities from core semiconductor companies?
  • Reputation/Value: How is the VLSI program at NIT Delhi generally perceived in the industry? Is it considered a strong choice for someone aiming to specialize in this field?

I’m looking for an objective perspective on whether this program provides the technical foundation and career opportunities necessary to succeed in today’s market. If you have any experience with the department, any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance for your help.
