BSc EEE Grad: Looking for a practical, low-math Master's in Germany with great part-time job opportunities Advice?

Masters

Hi everyone,
I recently graduated with a BSc in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and plan to start my Master's in Germany in Fall 2027. Currently working on my IELTS and German.
To be completely honest, I’m not interested in academic research. My main goal is to transition into the German industry and settle down.
I’m on a tight budget. I can cover the first year's blocked account, but I must work while studying to survive the second year. Therefore, I have two specific criteria:

  1. Practical & manageable coursework: I want to avoid heavily theoretical, math-intensive programs (like advanced signal processing or calculus). I am looking for a hands-on, project-based program, so a Fachhochschule (UAS) seems like the best fit to leave me enough time to work but also i am not sure about it tho.
  2. High job availability (Engineering + Service Sector): I need a city where I can eventually land a Werkstudent role, but also easily find casual side jobs (waitressing, cafes, trade fairs, delivery) for immediate cash flow. Small student towns might be too risky for me financially.
Currently, Frankfurt UAS (Information Technology) and Darmstadt UAS (Electrical Engineering & IT) are on my radar because of the strong job market in the Rhine-Main area.
Does this strategy make sense? Are there any other specific UAS programs or cities you would highly recommend for someone in my situation?
    Thanks in advance!
