Will I be hospitalised? TW: SH methods

24F. I have been using my cars cigarette lighter to SH while driving to counteract intrusive thoughts and bring me back to the here and now. I usually use the outer bit that gets less hot but I accidentally hit the coil on my skin and now it’s gone white and numb and blistered badly around the outside with redness that’s been spreading. I’ve never ever needed to see a dr for sh before but I’m worried I now need to.

If I was your patient would you hospitalise me for self harming or revoke my license?

I understand the dangers involved and generally try and pull over, do it at a traffic light or only hold it to my skin when on back roads with absolutely no one around as my biggest fear would be harming someone else if I swerved.

And before anyone says I don’t have the financial access to therapy at this point.
