Is Borderlands 4 Super Deluxe worth it for $60-70?

I played all borderlands except 4th. 3rd one was okay, but not amazing. My favorite is probably the Pre-Sequel.

Didn't buy the 4th one yet because of the outrageous price and secondly because there were horrible reviews about the performance.

My questions are:

1. Is the game really worth it (gameplay/story-wise) for that price even or does it make sense to just wait for it to drop to $20-30-40 just like Borderlands 3 is right now?
2. How is the performance after a few patches?
3. Are the DLCs really worth it at this point? Or does it make sense to just get the base game at 50% of the price?

The reviews I'm reading on steam are not encouraging so far, not sure what to think. Did they really fuck everything up from the start and basically didn't fix shit so far? What's most concerning is people mentioning how its watered down and all corporate politically-correct bs story.
