I honestly didn't mind a lot of the fans complaining about the Kitana and Johnny Cage roles. I didn't give a damn about the MKX/MK Legacy Interpretation of Johnny Cage. The one thing that very much bothered me honestly was the subplot story bringing back Shinnok's Amulet. Now I don't know why but this was my biggest complaint and it wasn't just the lore but also it was a chain effect that put the film in a different direction from where it started. It went from oh shit hell yeah Edenia, Johnny Cage, the tournament. To umm why the fuck is this apart of the film. And before you get all mad hear me out. Shinnok's Amulet is a prison, power source yes, a corruption on its user, that neither any god can destroy it. Now I hate to say it but it ruined Shao Kahn, hate me in the comments all you want, but Shao Kahn isn't a bitch he literally says he is Kahn Conqueror of Worlds he never needed power he always was power. Next was the Raiden situation the fact a single slice could allow Shinnok Amulet to drain his god power when was this going to be introduced. Yea I know they needed "drama" but damn there are many ways to use Shinnok's Amulet than just a Mcguffin, this could have been Quan Chi power to use in the tournament, a tease to actually excite us, or hell Raiden could've actually had a role seeing Shao violations of the rules and tempted to use the Amulet. Like why does everything have to be this item is the new source of the main antagonist power, and the protagonists have to destroy this power.
