What is up with the ping lately?

I have been noticing some maps and instances spike to 350+ ping when I enter them, extremely often. I am from brazil, so I'm used to 130, 140 ping. But when playing in mists or corrupteds especially, which throws you into an instance that you can't super easily zone out, and you're either stuck there until you can find another portal, or stuck until you finish the fight, that's extremely unplayable. What is happening with the servers???

I will also add, this does not happen everywhere, and any other games are fine for me, so I know it's not my net. It happens pretty consistently when zoning into different instances, zones, etc... And suddenly the ping is way higher. People I'm playing with feel it too, check their ping and it's way too high as well.
