Any Esthetician school recommendations?
I am looking for a good esthetician school in and or around DTLA. I toured two already and I really liked both and tbh I am kind of stuck between the two but I am open to exploring more.
The first school is Los Angeles College of Aesthetics (LACA), I liked it and from what I heard from a student who attended the esthetician program and another student who is currently attending they both said they like the school and feel like they teach well and instructors put forth effort. The girl who is currently attending said the only downfall is the school isn’t very wealthy and they often run out of supplies but it isn’t horrible or anything and they don’t feel like its affecting their ability to learn what it is their being taught . The other student who previously attended said she liked the esthetician course so much so she came back to this school and is now in the cosmetology course and likes those instructors too and said the same thing about liking the teaching and feeling like shes getting her moneys worth. For a bit of background about the school, the classes run Monday through Friday and have a full time 9a-530p, a part time 9a-2p, and an evening class 6p-10p. They are accredited and are Dermalogica partnered
The second is called International Collage of Beauty Arts and Sciences (ICBAS), and I have only what I saw during my tour and read online/heard from instructors to go off of. However, what the school seems to be comes off very nicely. The school is hybrid and has online aspects and the hands on portion is Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday from 9a-3p for full time students and only Tuesday and Thursdays (same class time) for part time. The school is accredited and they use a skincare line called Bio Jouvance from France that is owned by the director (I have never heard of this brand)
I am stuck and I honestly am interested in both schools so if you have any insight, advice, or if you have other recommendations literally anything at all please I would love to hear everyones opinions and suggestions.?
