SDI and PTSI-R Assessments

 ɢᴇɴᴇʀᴀʟ ǫᴜᴇsᴛɪᴏɴ

Has anyone else's partner taken these assessments with their CSAT? My husband's first CSAT (from "recovery" round 1) did not do these, they were never even mentioned.

When I was reading the Minwalla paper, I found the website of a man who does the 22 Room intensive in person and he offers the SDI and a consultation. So I looked up what the SDI is and I was like *why wasn't this given to my husband 7 years ago?!*

His new therapist administered the SDI and the PTSI-R and they will go over it at their next session. The therapist is flabbergasted the original CSAT did not do these.

So I'm wondering if anyone else's partner has done these? And if so, what did he/you get out of it?

Here is an explanation of the SDI:

Sexual Dependence Inventory (SDI 4.0)

After seeing a professional therapist and it is determined it is highly likely you are dealing with sexual addiction, we would recommend taking this assessment. The SDI 4.0 is a very lengthy and thorough assessment that measures many important elements of sexual addiction, including, but not limited to: sex addiction criteria, sexual anorexia, binge-purge patterns, consequences, sex addiction types, attachment issues, and others.

Here is an explanation of the PTSI-R:

Post-Traumatic Stress Inventory – Revised (PTSI-R)

You may or may not be aware that trauma and addiction often go hand in hand. This is often the case for addicts and their partners alike. The PTSI-R is a tool we use to assist in the trauma-work that tends to be a major part of healing and recovery.
