Wellbutrin (bupropion), Mood, and What to try next
I was debating posting this on the bupropion reddit, but didn't want to discourage anyone new to it.
I'm 37 and was on SSRIs for 6 years and last december my doctor switched me to Wellbutrin due to fatigue, haziness, depression, loss of pleasure/libido. I've been on it for 6 months and the fatigue and haziness has gotten better, but the depression and anxiety have gotten worse and the libido is still nowhere to be seen.
I clearly still have a cycle because my PMDD is nightmarish, although it's inconsistent in timing. Maybe my hormones are just always crazy. Previous dr put me on oral birth control to try and level out hormone swings.
I have a doctor appt coming up in a couple weeks here to address it but it's a new doctor so I'm not sure what to say or ask for or how much explaining/educating I'll need to do. (Last dr told me PMDD was not real and just a fancy new word for PMS)
Of course, my bloodwork always comes back "healthy".
Any advice? I'm in AB, Canada so we have slightly less a) doctors and b) options regarding elective testing.
