The oh so controversial topic of jaxs gender…

i just want to preface firstly that I am Non-binary, and i am also someone who thought they were a trans women for at least half my life…

The Jax being trans thing doesn’t really quite…. make sense to me? either that or it just was badly written.

Before you guys say it was supposed to be subtle, yes, i picked up on it. However, those things like Jax in the maid dress, Ribbit putting the bow on his head, still don’t point to being trans for me, and i don’t even think that was the case from the beginning. it feels like it’s was kinda added after the fact and jaxs character development and writing didn’t really accommodate it, or if it did it did it REALLY terribly. I think it kinda takes away a lot from what actually is complex about his character, his deep issues, are way more interesting without putting the blanket of being trans on top of it. i interpreted it more as Jax struggling with his masculinity and femininity as a side development rather than anything else. I also get that it was a self insert of gooseworx, but then again i think she could have done more with jaxs character if she wanted to go more in depth with transgender issues. to me it just feels half-done or not entirely canon imo, just my opinion, feel free to discuss :)
