Confusion About Belly's Behaviour

When Belly, Conrad and Jere share a motel room, Jere tells Conrad to tell Belly his feelings. In the night Conrad tells Belly "I still want you Belly, of course I do". But then in the morning Belly seems unperturbed and goes off to find Jeremiah and kisses him. To me this implies that she's over Conrad and chooses Jere.

Conrad takes back what he said in the morning, but AFTER Belly has already chosen Jere. Also when Conrad takes it back, she seems upset and her inner monologue says "I can't be mad. This is just who he is. He gives and then he takes away". But like, she'd already chosen Jere?

Was she over Conrad at this point, and then fell back in love with him at Christmas? I am just confused by this behaviour as I thought Conrad's confession would have cause more inner turmoil for Belly. I thought she'd probably at least consider choosing Conrad, rather than rushing off to kiss Jere.
