Launching products on app aggregator sites

Hi, I'm new to launching products, especially SaaS.

TLDR: Looking for any success stories with getting your product on product aggregators like Product Hunt, uneed, etc

How do people go about launching their product? Specifically on the organic side with sites like Producthunt, Uneed, Betalist?

I've been looking into things like backlinks, domain rating, and it seems that these platforms are a good way to get those and also get a bit of traffic coming from them.

Is that something that you think is necessary? Or is a social media launch enough? (or wherever your ideal customer lives)
