Warning — MassiveGRID network instability and zero accountability
I wanted to share my experience with MassiveGRID for anyone considering them for business-critical workloads.
I ran a business application on their VPS for a period of time and experienced persistent network instability that crippled my operations. Specifically, outbound connections were dropping on a consistent cycle for hours at a time — too consistent and too predictable to be anything on my end. I submitted a support ticket and their response was to migrate my server to a different node. To me, that's an implicit admission that something was wrong at the infrastructure level, regardless of how they framed it internally.
The problems continued even after the node migration. I eventually had no choice but to migrate my entire operation to another provider.
When I requested even a partial refund given the impact to my business, I was denied twice — once by support and once by billing. Their final position was that the node migration was "standard troubleshooting procedure" and not confirmation of any infrastructure issue. No goodwill credit, no acknowledgment of the disruption, nothing.
Since opening my ticket I've found numerous posts on Reddit and other forums from other MassiveGRID customers describing the exact same pattern of network issues and the same lack of accountability when things go wrong. This does not appear to be a one-off.
I've since moved to a different provider and have had zero issues — completely stable, night and day difference.
If you're running anything where uptime matters, I'd strongly suggest looking elsewhere. Hetzner, OVHcloud, and Vultr all have far better reputations for reliability and standing behind their product.
Happy to answer any questions.
