constant bv infections

for some backstory, i had a baby in august of 2025. i then got an iud in january of this year, and i had to get it removed around 2 months later because i got bv 2-3 times in that short time. i had never had bv or a history of infections prior so this came as a shock to me. i expected that after removing the iud the infections would stop but they haven’t. i’ve gotten bv at least every month since then. i got the nexplanon in april so with that has come irregular bleeding. everytime i start to have spotting i also notice the smell that comes with bv as well as abnormal discharge. i started using boric acid in hopes that it would help, and it does, but not how i thought it would. has this happened to anyone else? is there anything i can do about it? i don’t know if the recurrent infections are related to the iud or if it could be something unrelated but im worried.
