Looking back on this season, this is one of my favorite teams I’ve built in a long time, and I’d love to get some feedback on how to improve it for the future.

I don’t think it was ever “overpowered,” but it felt really balanced. It had a lot of different lines, and I always felt like if I played well, I’d have a good shot at winning, or at least taking the game down to the wire.

Nuances / Callouts:

\-The EV spreads/natures on Farigiraf and Incineroar aren’t really optimized for this team. They’re just solid, general-purpose spreads.

\- Stomping Tantrum and Iron Head were late additions on Metagross. Honestly, it felt a little underwhelming most games, but I mainly brought it into Sand, Trick Room, and Floette matchups. The original moveset was Psychic Fangs + Bullet Punch, but I kept finding myself just short of KOs without Helping Hand.

\- Dragapult was easily the MVP. Between Phantom Force and Dragon Darts, you don’t really care about Protect, and Protect can actually work in your favor in Fairy-heavy matchups since Dragon Darts will automatically redirect both hits into the partner.

\-One weird interaction I found: if your opponent uses Follow Me/Rage Powder and the first Dragon Dart KOs the redirect target, the second dart never fires. Makes sense mechanically, but I did lose a game because of the Life Orb recoil.

\- The team really wants to play fast. If Trick Room goes up, you’re probably in a bad spot.

\- No weather disruption. It never felt awful, but it definitely would’ve helped, especially into Sand.

\- This is 100% a glass cannon team. The goal is to KO things before they move.

Common Bring

 Lead:

 Whimsicott + Dragapult

Back:

 M-Raichu + Incineroar

Less Common Bring (Sand / Trick Room)

 Lead:

 Farigiraf + M-Metagross

Back:

 Dragapult + Incineroar

Hard Matchups

\- Kingambit / Sucker Punch – If Farigiraf goes down, most of the team’s damage dealers get rocked by Sucker Punch.

\- Archaludon – If M-Raichu is gone, Archaludon can become a huge problem and wall a lot of the team.

Overall, this was a blast to build and pilot. Definitely one of the teams I’m most proud of in a long time.

Would love any thoughts on improvements or changes you’d make. On to next season!
