is it normal for dyson coanda2x handle/attachments to get hot?

I recently purchased my first ever dyson airwrap and noticed that the handle and attachments get hot. the bottom of the handle is fine, but the middle is warm/moderately hot and the top (near the switches) is very hot. the attachments itself also get hot, almost to the point I struggle to take it off. I'm not sure if I'm just sensitive to heat or if this is an issue I should get checked. any advice would be appreciated. thank you!
