i’m sick of my life due to my shitty job, is uni worth it?
i’m 23 and have been a nursery/daycare worker since i was 16. my parents didn’t care about what i did and i just wanted money and didn’t see the value of further education. fast forward 7 years and i’m done
i’m sick of minimum wage, shit working conditions and high demands. nurseries are horrible and i’m only qualified in early years. i want to back to university and get a degree in social work but i don’t know if this is the right thing to do
my family are all telling me that it’s too late and that i shouldn’t bother at my age. i’m also struggling to see how i’d manage a job whilst going to uni full time. nobody has gone to uni in my family either so i have nobody to ask for advice
i’m feeling stuck, depressed and cry every morning when i realise i have work. i’m so fed up and don’t want to flip to another minimum wage. is uni the right path for me?
