Options other than FAFSA

Does anybody have any suggestions on how to afford college? I applied for FAFSA but they only gave me about 1000 a semester and an option for a loan worth 2000 a semester. My fees are 16k for everything including my grants and scholarships taken off. My parents won’t help me pay it off since it’s just my mom working and it’s already hard enough. I also can’t apply for loans with a co-signer due to her credit not being enough or possible past credit cards open that were never paid off. I feel stuck between going to college and being in debt for years on my own loan or having to give up what I want to do. Any financial advice would really help. I start a bachelors degree in Nursing this fall
