Private pilot license

Hey yall, I’m not sure if this is the correct sub but I’m gonna ask anyways. I live in the country and have always wanted a copter. I think it would help me save time, get to where I’m going faster, hog hunting and whatnot and obviously it’s just cool as shit. Point being is I’m at the point in my life where I could justify making payments on one and actually owning one, however, I got “quoted” around 20 grand for lessons and certification for a PPL, is that a normal price to pay? I’m a newbie so please take it easy on me, I’m sure there’s a lot more to it than just buying a helicopter and getting a license and that’s why I’m here, thank yall!
