How do you process a breakup?

I'm sure the question has been asked a million times but here I come as well.

Just been broken up with, relationship of 7 months (though it was my first). Honestly I can't say that the relationship was in anyway perfect, we weren't perfect. But I was happy and it certainly did help me grow as a person. Now that it's over I'm left feeling "silent" if that makes sense. Not empty but kinda like a sound has been removed from my head that has been there for the entirety of the relationship. I'm not crying or mad right now, I'm just kinda left thinking (about nothing). I'm not to sure how to process what just happened as I think my brain is trying to cope by mostly ignoring it.

I've already gone over the entire relationship in my head, the good, the bad, the ugly. I realize that the breakup might have been months in the making but I nevertheless find myself wondering if I/she did something wrong or if we were truly never compatible. Guess the part that just strikes me most is how sudden it is. One moment you are the person you've been for the last few months, the next your a completely changed man.

I can't even lie and say I don't still love her honestly, but I have come to accept that one sided love is no love at all.

Any advice is welcome and appreciated, regardless of how hard it is.
