ALS care

My mom remarried a few years ago and last year he got diagnosed with ALS. Things have been escalating quickly in the last few months and my mom is struggling to keep up with his needs as they are ever changing and he is in many ways expecting her to anticipate his needs. His speech is getting difficult to understand. I would love advice on how to best help them both, as I talked to his kids and we all are prepared to help but aren’t even sure where to begin.
