Advice: Chronic illness/spectrum/nervous system regulation
I've been working in early childcare for 6 years ages 2-5. It's been very hard for me dealing with frequent burnout, constant stress and anxiety. Since I started have been diagnosed with multiple chronic illnesses and am now on the path of looking at being on the spectrum. I love the basis of the work, Lesson planning, teaching, setting up environments, spending time with the children and find child development fascinating. However I get very overwhelmed, very quickly. Especially with children's behaviours, the workload and lack of wellbeing support.
Any advice on how to reduce overstimulation, getting overwhelmed or do I just need a break from the industry?
I'm sick of ECC pretending like wellbeing is an outside of work problem and not offering any advice to help during work hours.
