Is this really happening rn

I just started watching the Umbrella Academy and it's usually not the type of show that I'm into but I actually quite liked Season 1! But then I started into the first episode of the second season...and honestly please just spoil it for me. Do they actually just do the same thing that happened in the first season all over again, but this time in a different time period?? 😭😭
