Heading to a country to meet a girl

I have been speaking to this girl from a while, she lives in another country in the middle east, and I live in the UK.

It's the first time I'm spending so much money to go visit someone just for the sake of arranged marriage.

We have spoken for the past 3 months.

1. is it normal to feel nervous when you've spent so much money to see someone? I feel like this is a risk with a low ROI

2. for people who have done something similar to me, how did you do it when you visited your partner? Like where you guys always together 24/7 in that city, or did she work during the day and you guys hung out in the evening? I'm just trying to understand the mechanics of all this

3. anything else I should be aware of?
