2010 Giulietta 1.4 T non MA
I'm considering buying a 2010 Alfa Romeo Giulietta 1.4 T-Jet 120 Sportiva (120 hp, 6-speed manual) and I'd like to hear from people who actually own or have owned one.
The car I'm looking at has:
224,000 km (139,000 miles)
Full service history
Timing belt was replaced in 2016 at 140,000 km, so it's now around 10 years old.
Two enthusiast owners from new.
Recently fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport 5 tyres.
Some rust repairs have been done on the sills, which makes me a little cautious.
I have only owned VAG cars, which has been reliable and cheap to maintain, so I'm wondering if switching to the Giulietta is worth it for the driving experience.
I'd really appreciate honest opinions on:
How reliable is the 1.4 T-Jet 120 hp engine at this mileage?
Are there any common weak points I should expect (gearbox, clutch, suspension, electronics, rust, etc.)?
Is the Sportiva trim worth paying extra for?
What are the biggest pros and cons of owning one?
If you were buying today, would you still buy a 2010 Giulietta with 224,000 km, assuming it has been well maintained?
Thank you in advance!
